The Dallas Coalition for Hunger Solutions, chaired by Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson, will host its 8th annual Dallas Hunger Summit on Friday, September 13, 2019 from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM.
The focus of the 2019 Dallas Hunger Summit is on creating equitable communities. This half day event will bring together individuals and representatives from over 200+ businesses, nonprofit organizations, diverse faith communities, education and healthcare systems, social service agencies, and philanthropic and government entities to discuss.
Speakers and panelists will look at the intersection of healthy food access and community health in Dallas through an equity lens. They will address what a healthier environment would look like, and explore the innovative, collaborative steps communities are taking locally, statewide and nationally to assure access to healthy, nutritious food and optimal health for all.
